DEDICATE study – Learn Problem Solving Skills for Increasing Alcohol Abstinence

Do you drink alcohol regularly?

Participate remotely in a Problem-Solving Therapy research study!

Researchers at The University of Illinois Chicago are conducting a research study involving individuals aged 18-24 who consume alcohol.

Your participation is voluntary.

You may be eligible to participate in the study if you meet all these criteria:

  • Male or female young adults between the ages of 18-24
  • English-speaking
  • Consuming alcohol at least once a week
  • Have no history of psychotic disease
  • No current use of medications or intervention used to treat Alcohol Use Disorder
  •  Not pregnant
DEDICATE consists of

  • Remote 8 coaching sessions
  • Online surveys
  • Remote urine drug test twice weekly
  • Incentives for alcohol abstinence
  • You may be selected to participate in up to two brain imaging scans during the study

You will be compensated for your participation in the study. In addition, if you are selected for brain imaging scan visits, you will receive additional compensation.

Attend a Problem-Solving Therapy program remotely!

Researchers at The University of Illinois Chicago are conducting a research study involving individuals aged 18-24 who consume alcohol.

Your participation is voluntary. You may be eligible to participate in the study if you meet all these criteria:

  • Male or female young adults between the ages of 18-24
  • English-speaking
  • Consuming alcohol at least once a week
  • Have no history of psychotic disease
  • No current use of medications or intervention used to treat Alcohol Use Disorder
  • Not pregnant

DEDICATE is a 12-week study and consists of

  • Remote 8 coaching sessions
  • Online surveys and interview
  • Daily breathalyzer test
  • Incentives for alcohol abstinence
  • Additional compensation for participation
