Training Opportunities

The ABSTAIN Lab has recently launched, however, Dr. Hagar Hallihan is interested in mentoring or collaborating with individuals who are excited about understanding alcohol use and misuse, brain health and relevant interventions targeting young adults.

Current graduate students, medical students, or intern undergraduate students looking for research experience in the Chicago area – please email me at hhalli2@uic.edu about the availability of volunteer research assistant positions in the lab. Please be sure to describe the kind of time commitment you are looking for. Typical time commitments for volunteers are generally 5-10 hours per week, but this can be flexible depending on the kind of work you're able to do.
